MILES

MILES, led by VCAN Constituency Management and AKM Ashraf, MLA, aimed to empower the Manjeshwar community through the “Ente Schoolilekku” project, focusing on education. A 60-day survey involving over 1500 individuals identified critical needs aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goals, prioritizing improvements in education quality, infrastructure, and accessibility for long-term positive change.

MILES 2.0 empowers higher secondary students through awareness classes, a MILES club, and specialized training sessions. It focuses on exam preparation strategies, aiming to create a holistic support system conducive to learning and personal development.

Revitalize Rural Development through “SAGY” Project

What Is “Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana”?

SAGY, launched on October 11, 2014, aims to create model Gram Panchayats across India. Each MP selects a Gram Panchayat to develop as an ideal village by integrating central and state development schemes.”

The SAGY Project, a collaboration between Our Team and MP Dean Kuriakose, has significantly impacted the Idukki Parliamentary constituency. Peruvanthanam and Vathikudy villages exemplify VCAN’s successful implementation of various initiatives, including an Anti-Drug Campaign, menstrual hygiene awareness, and Yoga Day celebrations. Programs like Kuttikoottam for child development and biodiversity tourism projects showcase their multifaceted approach.

03 Aluva Legislative Assembly

Empowering Education: ALIVE's Impact in Aluva

ALIVE, led by Shri Anwar Sadath MLA and powered by VCAN, revolutionizes education in Aluva through two impactful projects. “Career Vandi” empowers 13,000 high school students across 75 schools, guiding them towards central universities and diverse career paths. “Lakshyam” extends invaluable job orientations to 1,000 college students, laying a robust foundation for their professional journeys. With the launch of Alive Career Vandi 2.0, ALIVE promises even more opportunities for educational advancement, reflecting its commitment to continuous improvement and student empowerment.

Introducing KREA COMMUNE: An ambitious project initiated by MLA Najeeb Kanthapuram of Perinthalmanna, in collaboration with our VCAN team. Together, we’re working to uplift 100 villages into Smart Villages, prioritizing holistic development over mere technological advancements. By understanding each village’s unique challenges, we provide tailor-made solutions to foster sustainable progress that aligns with the evolving needs of the community. Through various grassroots initiatives, we’re empowering individuals and nurturing innovation, reshaping rural development for a brighter future.

“WALK WITH MLA” Internship Program

Our pioneering internship program“Walk With MLA”, ,offers students from esteemed universities a unique opportunity for hands-on governance experience.
Through a carefully curated suite of programs, including internships, Panchayat Secretary sessions, and Legislative Assembly meetings, students gain invaluable insights into local governance. We emphasize cultural sensitivity and Gandhian values through visits and campaigns, fostering a strong sense of community.

06 Kundara Legislative Assembly

Connect KUNDARA

A transformative initiative led by MLA P.C. Vishnunadh, designed to empower the youth of the Kundara constituency. Launched in November 2023, our program offers vital skills and knowledge through innovative initiatives like “Connect Leaders” and “Scholars Cap.” These programs focus on instilling civic responsibility, financial literacy, and career guidance, equipping students for future success. Tailored for high school, higher secondary, and college students, Connect Kundara fosters social commitment, life skills, and informed decision-making, effectively addressing the educational and career needs of our youth.

07 Chalakudy Legislative Assembly

CHIRAK: Transformative Programs

We’re leading the Chirak Career CAP initiative in collaboration with MLA Saneesh Kumar Joseph to revolutionize education in Chalakudy, India. Our focus is on getting more students enrolled in central universities, aiming to uplift educational opportunities and transform the knowledge economy of the constituency.

CHIRAK 2.0

As We Can Social Innovators, we’re driving the Chirak Chalakudy program, dedicated to holistic development in the constituency. Our mission is to reach and positively impact 250,000 residents, starting with increasing central university enrollments. By providing guidance and support, we’re helping young people access better educational prospects and contributing to the overall growth of Chalakudy.

08 Kasaragod district panchayat

Kasaragod's Connect 2022

Jointly organized by Kasaragod District Panchayat, VCAN, and AIITECH, Connect 2022 was a resounding success, attracting around 200 students and parents from across the district. The orientation program aimed to acquaint Kasaragod residents with Central Universities, their courses, admissions, and training programs. Additionally, it facilitated the completion of pending projects, including collaboration with DCPU for child workshops and cultural events like ‘Samam Samskarikam Cultural Fest,’ and initiatives like ‘Green Worms’ for mangrove cleanup, overcoming challenges posed by the pandemic while providing practical grassroots experience to interns from diverse backgrounds.

09 Wayanad district panchayat

UYARE

VCAN’s Career Path program connected 20,000 students with top universities, while their UYARE project in Wayanad helped 600 SC/ST students excel in exams. With tutors and a help desk, 346 students cleared the CUET exam, showcasing the impact of focused initiatives in promoting education and development

10 Vaikom Legislative Assembly

PRATHYASHA

Prathyasha, a VCAN initiative, empowers Vaikom’s higher secondary students for prestigious higher education through targeted CUET training for 600 students, flexible online classes, and a dedicated help desk from February to March.”

15 Thrissur Municipal Corporation

THILAKKAM : a Learning Hub

Mayor Shri. M K Varghese led Thrissur Corporation’s Thilakkam project in 2022 to reinforce Thrissur’s UNESCO Learning City status. Thilakkam focused on five pillars: knowledge, happiness, technology, earning, and upskilling, promoting lifelong learning.
We Can Social Innovators collaborated on sub-projects like Learning City Cadets and Pathfinder, highlighting Thrissur’s dedication to becoming a knowledge hub.
SENSE 2023 engaged 174 students in scientific exploration, and CAN 2023 guided civil service aspirants, aligning with the “Learn for Knowledge” pillar. Thilakkam has transformed Thrissur into a vibrant learning community, showcasing its potential.

16 Palakkad Legislative Assembly

SMART BRIGADES : Empowering Youth Through Holistic Education

The Smart Brigade project, which successfully transformed the educational experience for over 500+ students in Palakkad was designed and executed by We Can Social Innovators in the Palakkad constituency under the guidance of MLA Mr. Shafi Parambil. Workshops were conducted in 5 colleges, 17 high schools, and 17 higher-secondary schools, equipping students with vital skills for success.

17 Kannur District Administration

Kannur Cleaning Squad

The “Kannur Cleaning Squad” project, a collaboration between the Kannur District Administration and the District Tourism Promotion Council (DTPC), aimed to spruce up the city’s urban spaces, vital for its tourist appeal. Focusing on five key tourist centers, it sought to enhance cleanliness, attract visitors, and instill civic pride. The project’s inaugural activity, a mega-cleaning campaign at Kannur Thalassery Sea Bridge, marked a successful start, thanks to the enthusiastic participation of NCC and NSS students, Haritha Karma Sena members, and support from We Can Social Innovators. Moving forward, the project plans to expand its reach and sustain community engagement for lasting impact.

18 Kottakkal Legislative Assembly

STEPS

The STEPS Initiative, led by K. K. Abid Hussain Thangal MLA, is an educational program designed to help students in Kottakkal constituency explore and pursue successful career paths. Through aptitude assessments, career counseling, and industry interactions, STEPS equips students with the necessary skills and guidance to make informed academic and professional choices.

The initiative also includes specialized sessions and webinars, such as commerce-focused programs, to enhance students’ understanding of key career domains. Additionally, cadet training programs connect students with industry professionals, offering real-world insights into various fields.

By nurturing ambition and providing structured career guidance, STEPS empowers students to build a confident and promising future.

19 Ranni Legislative Assembly

RANNI KNOWLEDGE VILLAGE

Ranni Knowledge Village-Pathfinder is a comprehensive educational initiative in the Ranni constituency led by Adv. Pramod Narayan MLA. This visionary project is designed to guide students in identifying and pursuing their ideal career paths, equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed for a successful future.

With over 5,000 students actively participating, Pathfinder has implemented various impactful programs, including aptitude tests to help students assess their strengths and interests, career counseling sessions for expert guidance, and conclaves featuring industry leaders and professionals. Additionally, the initiative has introduced Mega Commerce Science Webinars to enhance knowledge in commerce and science-related fields and Olympia Scholarship Training to prepare students for competitive exams and scholarships.

Pathfinder is more than just an education program—it is a movement that illuminates the path of knowledge in Ranni, inspiring students to dream big and achieve their career aspirations.

20 Kalpetta Legislative Assembly

REVIVE WAYANAD

Revive Wayanad, spearheaded by T. Siddique MLA under the guidance of Sri Rahul Gandhi, is a comprehensive rehabilitation initiative aimed at restoring the lives of communities affected by the Chooralmala-Mundakkai landslide. The project focuses on education, livelihood restoration, and community rebuilding, ensuring long-term resilience and sustainable recovery.

SPARK is a transformative education initiative in the Kalpetta constituency, equipping students with the guidance and skills needed to excel in academics and careers. Through expert-led career counseling, aptitude assessments, industry interactions, and specialized mentorship programs, SPARK empowers students to make informed choices and build a future-ready skillset.

Additionally, Thalir supports Plus Two students in Meppadi Gramapanchayath by providing financial aid and skill-building opportunities in collaboration with Malabar Group, easing their path to higher education.

The Sumedha Project, launched by MLA E.T. Taison Master, is a visionary initiative aimed at empowering students in the Kaipamangalam Constituency. Focused on academic excellence and holistic development, Sumedha integrates competitive learning, skill-building, and career guidance to help students unlock their full potential. Key programs include the Sumedha Mega Quiz Competition, which enhances knowledge and analytical skills, specialized training for LSS and USS exams, and a Career Guidance Program, Cadets program etc.., that provides expert mentorship and career exploration opportunities. The KITES PROJECT, an initiative by Shri. Moans Joseph MLA is dedicated to empowering students by providing them with essential academic and career-building opportunities. This project focuses on creating a strong foundation for students through structured educational programs, helping them make informed career choices and achieve academic excellence. One of its key highlights is the Mega Scholarship Exam, which identifies and rewards meritorious students, ensuring financial support for their educational journey.

Additionally, aptitude tests designed to assess students’ strengths and interests, guiding them toward suitable career options. The project also includes career guidance sessions conducted by experts to help students explore various career paths and make well-informed decisions about their future. 24 Sreekandapuram Municipality

Prajyothi

Prajyothi is a comprehensive financial literacy initiative implemented by We Can Social Innovators under the Annual Plan 2025–26 of Sreekandapuram Municipality. The project strengthened financial inclusion and community resilience by equipping a diverse group of beneficiaries—including women collectives, frontline workers, students, livelihood groups, and small traders—with essential financial knowledge. By promoting informed decision-making and inclusive economic practices, the initiative focused on empowering the community and fostering sustainable growth. This effort culminated in Sreekandapuram Municipality being declared the first Financially Literate Municipality, offering a scalable model for local governance.
